⚠️ Scam Alert: Gift Card Email Fraud

This time of year, when many people are purchasing gift cards for Christmas, scammers often increase their attempts to take advantage of parish communities. We have been alerted that a fraudulent email is circulating that appears to come from Father Mike, asking you to purchase gift cards.

Please know that Father Mike will never email you asking for gift cards, money, or urgent personal favors. If you received such a message, delete it immediately.

How to Protect Yourself:
Always check the sender’s email address. Official parish communication will always come from an address ending in @cdsmph.org. Be cautious of urgent or unusual requests, especially those involving money, gift cards, or personal information. When in doubt, call the parish office at 412-373-0050 to verify the message before responding.
