Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish is supporting the Penn-Plum VFW Post 6836 “Backpacks for Veterans” program, which provides backpacks filled with basic necessities for veterans who may be displaced, experiencing illness, or otherwise in need.
Parishioners are invited to donate items such as travel-size toiletries, socks, T-shirts, sweatshirts and sweatpants. A collection bin will be available at the parish during October. Monetary donations are also welcome. Checks may be made payable to Penn-Plum VFW.
As Veterans Day approaches on November 11, this is a simple way for our parish community to show its gratitude and support for veterans in need.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping care for those who have served our country.
